“We cannot live only for ourselves. A thousand fibres connect us with our fellow men; and among those fibres, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.” Henry Melvill

As a trained family therapist I believe that I work with “the spaces between and the ties that bind” human relationships. This allows me to be empathic and sensitive to, and cognisant of the dynamics that support human relationships, family relationships and people in context.

My training facilitates an approach to child custody evaluations that sensitises the legal profession, parents, families and the Courts to the dynamics, nuances and alliances in families from a systemic point of view.

This ‘family systems’ approach permeates my forensic as well as my therapeutic work.

I have been in private practice since 1991.

My services include:

  • Individual, marital and family therapy
  • Forensic assessments in child custody matters
  • Supervision of other Psychotherapists
  • Psychological evaluation of prospective adoptive parents as a part of their preparation and screening

I have also facilitated training psychologists in both relationship therapy and in forensic child custody matters.

Please feel free to visit my Services page to learn more about these services and the rules of my practice.

Also please visit my About me page to learn more about me, my qualifications and achievements.

I look forward to being able to assist you – individually, as a couple or as a family!
